Why do people hate carmelo anthony

He received one 1st place vote. The following year, he scored a career high 62 points, a Madison Square Garden record. But despite his success, he has always been a laughingstock in the league for his alleged selfish brand of game and ineffective team leadership. When he scored 62 points, he did not register a single assist in 38 minutes. How come he is condemned for his selfish play if his career average in assist 3. People should stop mocking Carmelo of his passing skills and must understand that he is paid to shoot the ball, unlike LeBron James who is the designated playmaker.

Unfortunately, his enthusiasm has not been fairly reciprocated by the franchise. He was a star, though, and has always been fun to watch.

And he has all the accolades mentioned above. To label the guy a 'scrub' now is based off skewed personal opinion, not facts. Say what you want about him: from the StayMe7o stuff to the LaLa stuff to self-serving videos of him working out. It doesn't take away from what Melo has done during his career on the court.

You may not like Melo personally. You may think he's washed and finished. See our ethics statement. We let this one go again. The bottom line is that both are obviously right. Davis, openly frustrated, not only appeared to send what was at-best not a great compliment to Frank Vogel, and at worst a pretty open subtweet of his head coach You can just see the conservatives and progressives of basketball pulling at Anthony from each side.

The traditionalists want to see five passes, with the open player getting the shot. The progressives give the ball to Anthony and watch him break down three players en route to a fadeaway footer. Anthony incites a clash of styles more than anything. That's why, when he's struggling, the doubters explode, while when he's playing well, his supporters come out in droves.

There is rarely any middle ground when it comes to 'Melo.
