Where is glorious goodwood

Some tried to stop customers rearranging chairs and trying to stop more chairs being brought in to seat those who had been lucky enough to get a table but had insufficient seating. Prices were ridiculously high and the choice of food limited. The seafood platter for two was quite small and when presented pre-packed in a box with another box of bread, it didn't present value for money.

We were generally disappointed with the choice of food in the Richmond Enclosure and the fast food outlets were too far away while again being priced too high for very low quality.

It's a lovely racecourse but overpriced and not organised to cope with bad weather. Racegoes Sheffield, UK 3 contributions. Our lasting memory of Glorious Goodwood. Just attended 3 days at the Qatar Festival Tuesday to Thursday. We last visited Goodward in and remembered how well planned and presented the Lennox Stand was, with white picket fences and a good balance of well located eating and drinking facilities. We were quite dismayed this time to see the changes made with eating and hot drinks facilities relegated to behind the Stand and the main focus in front of the Stand bars and betting kiosks.

We are fully aware that the British weather is totally unpredictable but Wednesday's downpour showed the inability of Goodwood to cater for this type of weather. Racegoers in the Lennox Stand were massively let down by Goodwood through insufficient facilities. Quite clearly staff were unable to cope with the volume of people trying to squash into the Lennox Stand and there was a lack of leadership. Many people who had arrived by coach left early to return to their coaches and this was as early as the second race.

Elderly and disabled people struggled to climb up into the Stand which was distressing. The big screen went off so the amount of racing that could be viewed was minimal and the information coming across the loud speaker was distorted.

Our experience in the Gordon Stand on ladies day still fell way short of our previous experiences of Goodwood. Overall we were disillusioned and disappointed with our experience. Thank you very much for your comprehensive feedback. Wednesday was indeed challenging weather-wise. We find this provides a much better and more efficient service for our customers. It is helpful to know that there was a problem with the sound from the loudspeaker.

I suspect that was due to the weather conditions, but I will feed that back to our Operations team. Once again, many thanks for providing us with your feedback. We continuously strive to improve our customer experience and your comments will be fed back to the team. I do hope you will join us again in the future and that this one experience has not put you off. Kind Regards, Goodwood.

Truly dreadful now, after 12 years of going we are going to call it a day. The standards are so low now and the money taken off the Visitor so high, it's a rip off! Catering, drinks and toilets awful.

The event is massively oversubscribed and it is clear the organisers cannot cope anymore. Give it a Big Miss until they sort themselves out. I am not sure which day and enclosure you attended, but Saturday is always our most popular day and so the facilities can become busy at this time.

However, we were not aware of any problematic queuing issues and staff worked hard to ensure everyone was served cheerfully, as quickly as possible. We do have a full cleaning team regularly checking the toilets during the event so I am sorry if they were not up to standard when you visited.

If you would like to give us more detailed feedback please do get in touch with us directly at Customer. Great day out - bar prices overpriced. Had a great day at Glorious Goodwood celebrating my birthday with friends Had tickets for the Gordon Enclosure- fab views, access to the parade ring. The bar prices were in my opinion overpriced. The bar service in the Sussex stand was very slow and chaotic- I was offered pint glasses with the prosecco!!!

They had run out of champagne flutes, I asked for wine glasses instead, which were provided but at what seemed an inconvenience to the girl serving- slightly spoilt the overall experience sadly. Hi Sara, I'm pleased to hear you had a great day at the racecourse during the Qatar Goodwood Festival, however, I'm sorry to hear that you felt the bar products are overpriced.

Addressing your comments on pricing, we have a fairly robust regime at the beginning of each year, where we benchmark our selling prices to like events and facilities across the UK, generally speaking we tend to pitch our pricing at the lower end of the resultant range we get from our market research, while trying to deliver the higher end in terms of the quality of a product. We have multiple panel tastings to ensure that our listed products will meet our guest expectations.

We acknowledge that taste is often subjective and what may delight most of our guests may not impress an individual tastes. It would be lovely to have multiple products in each category, but we need to balance the size of the range on offer with speed of service.

As you know the bar is pretty large as far as bars go, and for this reason the bar had 30 bar staff, a cellar team, and various levels of management and supervisors. The aim of this staffing plan is to ensure the bars work to the most efficient service plan possible.

We can only apologise for the non-chilled prosecco, I can only assume the team have pulled stock from the incoming rather than the overnight top up. I hope this experience will not have put you off returning to Goodwood Racecourse again in the future.

Very Wet Day, Staff and Goodwood could not cope! Yes the weather was awful but it was known to be bad the day we went, issue is Goodwood failed miserably to look after their guests, not enough staff in the inside areas which where obviously packed due to the rain, clearly Goodwood management had not thought this through and left young, inexperienced staff to try and cope, suggest Goodwood you go and speak with your staff and get their views!

Thank you for your feedback about your racing experience. Wednesday saw the worst weather we have ever experienced at the Racecourse — 50mm of rain in one day which was unprecedented and hugely challenging across all fronts. We appreciate this made things very busy in our indoor areas as racegoers were understandably keen to stay indoors for the day. Chichester Railway Station is a 15 minute taxi or bus ride from the racecourse. It departs at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour, from The last return journey from the racecourse will be 30 minutes following the last race.
